The Honor Yoga Foundation
At Honor Yoga, we believe strongly in community and social outreach, but making any kind of meaningful difference in the lives of others can only start when we take care of ourselves first. Self-care can lead to better, more equitable decisions, and that can mean a better world for all of us.
That’s why we created the Honor Yoga Foundation, an online educational platform for teachers and students to come together and create transformational, personal, and communal outcomes. We’re proud to provide grants to teachers, studios, and other community endeavors through the Foundation that strive to make yoga, meditation, and transformational teachings accessible to all.
The Honor Yoga Foundation is looking forward to continuing to provide yoga-related programs, scholarships, and retreats, and we’re excited to share our mission with Honor Yoga’s ever-expanding studio locations. Studio owners are encouraged to nominate students and teachers who will promote our mission for scholarships. Each Honor Yoga Studio is also encouraged to work with the Foundation to offer yoga-related programs to organizations locally that are working on providing peace and healing in their communities.
The practice of yoga is integral to self-care and results in a greater feeling of community, connectedness, and gratitude. Through our Foundation, we work to bring these beliefs to life via our yoga-related programs, our support of new and established yoga teachers through scholarships, and our lovingly prepared healing retreats.
Honor Yoga practices the highest standards of stewardship to advance our mission and provide valuable programs to those in need. We’re committed to social empowerment, sustainability, and wellness, and believe that because the practice of yoga nurtures the mind, body, and soul of each person who embraces it, compassion will result and will manifest in our everyday lives.

Maria Turco, the founder of Honor Yoga and our chief yogi officer, got her start as a young and forward-thinking leader in the fitness and health industry. After a successful career as a turnaround specialist, national speaker, consultant, and franchisee within the fitness industry, Maria realized her dream of creating a yoga franchise that was not only situated for success, but that gave back to the communities it served.
